Summer Update-Here’s What’s Coming up Next for Dragon and Goat

Summer Update:

Adam is hard at work on the next Dragon and Goat book: Thyme Bandits. What, you’re asking, didn’t he just put out a new book? Yes, The Curse of the Robo-werewolf is out this year, but in comics there is no room for sleeping (except in the gutters, those little spaces between panels maybe).

He’s also teaching an Intro to Visual Art class at Chicago State and looking forward to a few other things on the horizon for Dragon and Goat and Fotopia Press:

  • Fotopia Press will have a tent at Printer’s Row Lit Fest June 10 & 11 in downtown Chicago. I’ll be at TENT L (on the East-side) Just South of Harrison on Dearborn- with all my usual books and the newest D&G book The Curse of the Robo-werewolf. Stop by and say hello!
  • October 15-October 21 Adam will be giving a week long workshop on Storytelling with Mixed Media Drawing at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN.
  • This Fall (maybe Winter?) be looking for a Kickstarter for Dragon and Goat’s next book Thyme Bandits. Here’s a sample image:Thanks for taking a look! Remember if you want to stay up to date on all things Dragon and Goat and other Fotopia Press titles like The Panopticorn, Beyond Paper Walls, and Cloud Arcadia be sure to follow Adam on Instagram @fotodragon on Twitter @adamfotos and on Facebook’s Dragon and Goat page.  There’s, of course, the dragonandgoat.com website as well! If you like what you see be sure to share with your friends and circles!

Glad It Wasn’t a Pandora’s Box…

Many thanks to Alex Leon for helping behind the table at C2E2.  I’ve had the pleasure of having Alex in my Cartooning and Storyboarding/ Sequential Art classes at the College of DuPage, and he was a big help on Friday.

On Saturday, I owe many thanks to Phil Thompson of Cape Horn Illustration for helping on Saturday- one of the busiest C2E2 days I’ve had.  Check out Phil’s amazing Chicago prints and Marathon Maps on his website.

C2E2- We’ll Miss You (until next year!)

C2E2 was the biggest ever (according to the closing announcer, but he does, to be fair say that every C2E2…). I had a great time and owe many thanks to Phil Thompson of Cape Horn Illustration for helping at the table on Saturday, Alex Leon for helping on Friday, and Alli and Cora helping close Sunday strong!  Over the next week or so I’ll be posting some pics of the show since I was too tired to do it in medias res.

The Curse of the Robo-Werewolf, a Dragon and Goat comic, launching at C2E2 2017!

The newest Dragon and Goat book is here just in time for C2E2!  Come check it out (if you’re in Chicago!) in Artist Alley at Chicago’s Comics and Entertainment Expo.  I’ll be at table K-14.  This book The Case of the Robo-Werewolf features two classic Dragon and Goat adventures that have never before been printed in FULL COLOR.

Late Night Charcuterie Plate to get Through Final Pages of Next D&G Book

Getting through the last pages of the next Dragon and Goat book, I needed to recharge my cartooning batteries with a quick charcuterie plate of wheat thins, a home-made slim jim (thanks, Dad!), and a variety of cheeses. A meal fit for a Dragon (not a Goat, because he doesn’t eat meat).
